After filling out some brief paperwork, we begin your first visit with a consultation. Dr. Stuart Weitzman will meet with you to determine if your problem is a chiropractic case. If he accepts your case for care, we then go over your health history and your condition together to get the whole picture.
Dr. Weitzman will give you an orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examination. Then we will perform a computerized nerve and muscle scan with the latest technology. This scan checks how well (or how poorly!) your nerves and muscles are functioning. The scan uses thermography and surface EMG to show your function. Depending on your history and what we may find in the exam, Dr. Stuart Weitzman may take x-rays, on the premises, of your spine to confirm exam findings, check the structure for misalignment, and to help determine approximately how long the problem has been there.
The Chiropractic Exam consists of:
- Chiropractic tests that consist of static and motion palpation of the muscles, ligaments and joints relating to the spinal column and extremities.
- Orthopedic tests
- Neurological tests
- A Computerized Scan that consists of surface EMG and Thermography to check the function of your Nervous system.
- X-rays (if necessary) to check the structure for misalignment, and to help determine approximately how long the problem has been there. X-rays are on premises.
